Eight classic NBA seasons are in Tip-Off now: 1979-80, 1985-86, 1988-89, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98, 2007-08 and 2015-16. If you already have the game, they're in your library as a separate download.
Every team against its own league
Each team is rated against the league it played in that year, so a great side from 1986 and a great side from 2016 both come out as great sides, and the real record sits beside each team for you to beat. Magic and Bird's rookie year. The 1986 Celtics, who lost once at home all season. Detroit at their roughest. The 72-10 Bulls, and the Last Dance two years later. The 73-9 Warriors, and a Cleveland side that came back from 3-1 down.
The division races
Every season comes with its divisions as they were, from the old Atlantic, Central, Midwest and Pacific to the six of today. The new League Helper (Divisions) has every season built in and shows the races as they go: a table for each division, who's leading, and who has clinched. At the end of the season it names the division winners, and if you want the playoffs seeded the way they were that year, it does that too. The 2007-08 and 2015-16 seasons can run the real 82-game schedule by division.
