Tip-Off: Box Scores Are In

Every player's points, rebounds and assists, from any game of Tip-Off. Book Three: The Box Score is in the download now, and if you already have the game it's in your library.

How it works

Play Quick Play or Period Play as normal. When the final buzzer goes, each side rolls a d10 for its rebounds and a d6 for its assists. Then a few tables split the night between thirteen players. The Stars carry the scoring, the centre cleans the glass and the point guard racks up the assists. A d6 swing gives every starter his good nights and his bad ones. The rotation picks up whatever is left, so the box always adds up to the score.

No player ratings

A player is a position and a role. One to three of your starters are Stars; most teams have one or two, and three is a superteam. That means any squad works: this season's real roster, a team from the 1980s, or a club you made up. Once in a while a Star point guard or big man has a triple-double night.

A whole season at once

The new Box Score app takes a League Helper league file and gives you a box score for every game played so far, as one CSV to open in any spreadsheet for totals, averages and the scoring race. Use your own squads, or if you have none to hand it can make them up, for one team or the whole league. For long seasons on paper there's a quick starters' line, about a minute a side.
