Milwaukee won 103. Houston won the American League West at 81-81 and gets a home series for it. Tampa Bay and Milwaukee sit out the first round and wait for whoever comes through.

What happens in October
Best of three, best of five, best of seven, with the higher seed hosting the way the real bracket does. Every game is a full game of Full Count.
Aces pitch more than once. From game four you pick your number four or your ace on short rest, and the answer changes with the club. In an elimination game the closer is ready from the seventh.
The season before it
The Pennant Race finishes a season you have been playing without making you play the last sixty games. One roll a game for the run-in, magic numbers, tiebreakers, and a field of twelve at the end.
The October Toolbox
Seven optional tools. Use any of them or none.
Roll a hero for each club. Roll between games for the tight hamstring, the hot bat, or the rainout that gives an ace his full rest back. Keep count of how often the ace has gone on short rest and what it is costing him. After every game, read the back page from a table built for the moment: the walk-off, the decider, the comeback from two down. Take one club through the whole month as a campaign and roll what the winter said.
